Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying two people sought in a case involving credit card theft and fraud.
A man was captured in a surveillance photo stealing a wallet at a business in the 6000 block of Mercy Court in the Fair Oaks area, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. He later was shown in surveillance footage using credit cards that were in the wallet at several businesses in the Citrus Heights area, sheriff’s officials said.
He is described as African American or Hispanic, about 30 years old, 5-foot-10, and weighing about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and was wearing a black baseball cap with a Puma logo, blue jeans, and a black T-shirt. He was seen driving a white BMW with damage to the hood area.
Also sought in the case is a woman shown in surveillance footage accompanying the man. Sheriff’s officials said the woman also used the cards to make purchases.
