A 48-year-old Sacramento man died Thursday night when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle making a U-turn at 24th Street and Fruitridge Road, near Sacramento Executive Airport.
The crash occurred about 10:30 p.m. According to a Sacramento Police Department activity log, a vehicle on 24th Street was attempting to make a U-turn at Fruitridge Road when a motorcyclist traveling westbound on Fruitridge collided with the vehicle.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sacramento Fire Department. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified him as Sedric Bostick.
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with officers. They said neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to have been factors in the collision.
