A man who died in Fair Oaks on Saturday after he was struck by a car while walking in the middle of a road has been identified.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office listed him on its website as 68-year-old Carson Henry Franklin.
A California Highway Patrol officer said Franklin, who was wearing a hospital bracelet, was believed to be walking home from Mercy San Juan Medical Center when he was struck about 11:30 p.m.
A Fair Oaks driver traveling east on Madison Avenue hit Franklin near Linda Sue Way. The driver had his headlights on but did not see Franklin in time to stop, authorities said.
