Police detectives have arrested a man they say is tied to two bank robberies – one in Lincoln and the other in Yuba City.
The US Bank in Yuba City was held up Tuesday. The next day a Wells Fargo bank in Lincoln was also robbed.
Lincoln detectives say that the two robberies seem to be committed by the same man. Working with Yuba City investigators, they identified 35-year-old Tommy Johnson as the man who may have robbed both banks.
Johnson was taken into custody by Yuba City police officers and booked into Sutter County jail on suspicion of armed robbery and drug offenses.

A search by officers of the hotel room where he was arrested turned up a backpack, containing several hundred dollars, that matched the description of one used by the robber of both banks.
