A man was arrested in Oroville on suspicion of shooting at someone in a park with a bow and arrow.
The suspected archer was identified as John Wilkeson, 51, of Oroville.
Police said that about 5 p.m. Wednesday, officers began a search for a man carrying a compound bow at Riverbend Park in Oroville. A short while later, a person called 911 to report being shot at with an arrow at the dog park in Riverbend.
The caller said that the archer was driving a brown Plymouth minivan. Officers were unable to find the shooter.

About 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to a market on Olive Highway where a man in the parking lot was reported to have held a bow with an arrow pointed in the direction of customers and market employees.
By the time officers arrived, the archer had left the area.
About 2 a.m. Friday, an Oroville police officer saw what looked like a Plymouth minivan at a gas station on Oroville Dam Road. Wilkeson, who was at the wheel of the van, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a deadly weapon and violation of probation.
A compound bow, which uses cables and pulleys, was found in the van, according to police.
