Elk Grove police were investigating armed robberies of three Laguna Boulevard restaurants.
The robberies occurred in the early morning or late night Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to the Police Department’s watch summary.
Shortly after 3 a.m. Friday, a man with a handgun entered the Jack in the Box in the 4800 block of Laguna Boulevard and confronted an employee. Police said the man removed cash from the registers before leaving on foot. He was described as Hispanic or Pacific Islander, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds, and wearing black clothing.
At 6:24 a.m. Saturday, police received a report that a man with a gun had confronted an employee at Starbucks in the 5000 block of Laguna Boulevard. The man took cash from the registers and left on foot. He was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing black clothing.

The third robbery was reported shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday at a Subway restaurant in the 5000 block of Laguna Boulevard. Police said the man had a handgun, confronted an employee, then hopped over the counter and took cash before leaving on foot. He was described 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build and a dark complexion, and wearing dark clothing.
