Roseville police reported the death of a pedestrian along the railroad tracks near Church and Fig streets Monday evening.
About 7:45 p.m., a westbound Union Pacific train reported a deceased man along the railroad right of way, Justin Jacobs, a spokesman for Union Pacific Railroad, said in an email. He said the death appears to be train-related, but no details were available. No other injuries were reported.
The man’s name has not been released
Union Pacific is investigating the incident,
“Our hearts go out to friends and family of the deceased,” Jacobs said.
Police said Church Street is closed between Elm and Grape Streets due to the investigation.
