Security camera catches teens who may be connected to Elk Grove shooting
Elk Grove police have released security camera photographs of three men sought in connection with the shooting of two teens late last month.
The two boys, ages 16 and 17, were shot about 3:45 p.m. Sept. 30 at Fales Park, 8485 Auberry Drive.
The teens were hospitalized and their wounds were not life-threatening. Both are students at nearby Monterey Trail High School, said Officer Christopher Trim, a police spokesman.
Officers discovered video showing three men before the shooting. One is described as a young black man with a dark complexion, thin build and about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He had bushy uncombed hair and was wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and black and white athletic shoes.
Another was a young, thin black man with a light complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with medium-length dreadlocks with blond tips. He was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and black athletic shoes.
The third man was a young white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with dirty blond hair tied into a bun at the top of his head. He was wearing a blue, red and white T-shirt, black pants and white athletic shoes.
Anyone who knows the identity of any of the three men can call Elk Grove police.
