A 68-year-old Sacramento woman died after a collision from which the other driver fled Saturday night, authorities said.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Bertha Bartholomew of Sacramento.
The hit-and-run driver was heading east on El Camino Avenue about 10 p.m. and the victim was driving north on Grove Avenue when the cars collided, according to a Sacramento Police Department news release.
The hit-and-run driver, identified only as a man, fled before police arrived, said Matthew McPhail, a police spokesman. Police did not issue a vehicle description.
