Lodi police are seeking a vehicle that may have been occupied by witnesses to a September homicide in which a man was found dead after a house fire.
Police and the Lodi Fire Department responded about 1:45 p.m. Sept. 25 to a structure fire in the 1500 block of West Vine Street. The blaze was too intense for officers to reach anyone inside. After firefighters gained control of the fire, a man was found dead inside the home.
The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office determined during an autopsy that the man, identified as 53-year-old Alan Karl Gregor Jr., had been stabbed to death before the fire started.
Police are asking the public’s help in finding a 1997 to 2003 red or maroon Ford F-150 pickup truck with a regular cab, long bed and a rolled bed cover. They said the truck’s occupants are thought to be possible witnesses in the case.
