A Sacramento man died from injuries suffered when he was hit by a freight train over the weekend in North Highlands.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office reported that William Johnson, 25, was killed Sunday. A Union Pacific Railroad spokesman said that Johnson was hit by a UP train about 3:44 a.m. on tracks near Airbase Drive and Poplar Boulevard.
The accident is under investigation by UP police.
