Placerville police say a man found sleeping in a truck has been arrested in connection with a one-night crime spree.
John Olson, 33, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property, attempted burglary, burglary, auto theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said a Placerville resident called about 8 a.m. Wednesday to say Olson was in his truck on Windsong Lane. When Olson saw the officers, he started removing debit cards, identification cards and other items from his pockets, according to police.
The items were later connected to thefts in the area the night before Olson was found sleeping in the truck. While officers were investigating, Placerville residents began reporting burglaries and thefts that police connected to Olson.
