A man suspected of killing three people in a Land Park public housing complex last weekend may be in the Reno area, according to the Reno Police Department.
In a news release issued Saturday, Reno police said they recently stopped an SUV belonging to Jerod Watson, 52, but he was not inside. The Sacramento Police Department has warned that he is armed and dangerous.
Watson has been named as a suspect in a triple homicide last weekend in the 700 block of Broadway. Christine Lucas, 68, and her two grandsons were found dead the night of Oct. 15 in an apartment in the Alder Grove housing project. Victim Marquise Brown, 23, was the father of a young girl, and victim James R. Ferrell, 20, had graduated from high school in May.
All three victims were stabbed or slashed, according to the Sacramento County coroner.

Sacramento police said Watson was a family friend and the ex-boyfriend of Twanna Lucas, mother of Ferrell and Brown. Lucas discovered the bodies in the apartment.
Watson was described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. Court records show he has a history of domestic violence charges.
