Sacramento police announced the fourth arrest in death of a man at a south Sacramento home during what was described as a late-night burglary in August.

Officers responded about 11:22 p.m. Aug. 12 to a call reporting a burglary in progress at a home in the 8000 block of Grandstaff Drive. When they arrived, they found a woman outside the home and a man unresponsive on the floor inside the home. The Sacramento Fire Department arrived and pronounced the man dead. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office later identified him as 60-year-old Ashok Kumar.

Police said at the time that the woman told officers that she did not get a good look at the intruder, but investigators did not believe is was a random incident.

In September, detectives arrested Rohini Kumar, 53, Tiwan Greenwade, 37, and Vicky Rainone, 47, on suspicion of homicide in the case, according to a Police Department news release. On Thursday, investigators arrested a fourth person, 58-year-old Raghua Sharma, also on suspicion of homicide.

Although the investigation into the circumstances of Ashok Kumar’s death in continuing, detectives believe there are no other suspects, police said. The case has been turned over to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, police said they could not provide further details at this time.
