An inmate in the Sacramento County jail died after being found hanged by a portion of a blanket tied around his neck.
Brian Guerin, 30, of Rancho Cordova was discovered in a cell by himself about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday by a deputy making a regular check on the floor where the inmate was housed.
Deputies entered his cell and removed the blanket from Guerin’s neck. Deputies and jail medical staff tried to save his life before being relieved by emergency medical personnel from outside the jail.
