Several large containers of marijuana were reported stolen during an early-morning home invasion robbery at a Nevada County residence.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched about 12:15 a.m. Monday to a residence in the 27000 block of New School Road in the Nevada City area regarding a home invasion.
Deputies were told that eight unidentified males with guns entered the residence, tied up the occupants and assaulted them. The intruders left before deputies arrived, taking with them several plastic totes containing an undisclosed amount of marijuana, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Detectives from the sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit and the Narcotics Task Force arrived and processed the scene. Sheriff’s officials said no information was available Monday afternoon regarding the medical condition of the victims.
