Coroner identifies victim in south Sacramento drive-by shooting

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office on Sunday identified Maige Lee, 27, as the woman killed in Saturday’s drive-by shooting that wounded five others.

Four men, ages 31, 32, 33 and 34, were wounded, along with a 4-year-old child. The 31-year-old was listed in critical condition Saturday night. The other four were in serious but stable condition, according to a Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department release.

There was no known motive.

Shots were fired shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday. Lee was attending a barbecue in the front yard of a residence in the 8600 block of Ardith Drive in south Sacramento when a southbound vehicle drove by. The people in the car fired from the passenger side, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The car then headed south on Ardith Drive.

Lee’s family has created a GoFundMe account for her funeral expenses at www.gofundme.com/vd-funeral-service.
