A 62-year-old man died Monday night after he shot a woman, then turned the gun on himself, according to Sacramento police.
Officers were called to the 4000 block of Taylor Street in the Robla area about 11:15 p.m. regarding a person who had been shot in a car. They arrived to find a man dead in the driver’s seat with a gun in his lap, according to the account in the Police Department’s Daily Activity Log. Officers also found a woman with blood on her near the vehicle.
Police said the man and woman were in a relationship. During a domestic dispute, the man tried to shoot the woman in the head, according to police. He then turned the gun on himself.
The woman was still conscious when officers arrived and was taken to a hospital. Police said she was in serious condition but was expected to survive.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office website identified him as Chue Her of Sacramento.
