Two men were convicted of a variety of crimes, including home invasion robbery and sex charges during a crime spree two years ago in Antelope and North Highlands.
Anthony Cotton, 20, was convicted Wednesday of crimes that included robbery and assault to commit rape during a home burglary. Latrale D. Way, 19, was convicted of crimes that included forcible rape and home robbery.
In addition, co-defendants Lamar Edwards and Donny Smith previously pleaded guilty to residential robbery. The crimes occurred between June and October 2014.
According Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release, the four men held a man and his children in their house at gunpoint. Two of the men attempted to rape a 27-year-old woman in the home.

During a second robbery, Way and other unidentified suspects approached a man and woman at a park. After the man was robbed, Way kidnapped the woman and raped her, according to the District Attorney’s office.
Two weeks later, Cotton and Way committed three more robberies in the same park, the release said. Sentencing is set for Jan. 6.
