A man was found shot to death on the street Monday morning in south Sacramento County.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department received calls just before 4 a.m. of a man on the street in the neighborhood near 43rd Avenue and Franklin Boulevard. When deputies arrived, they found the man with more than one gunshot wound.
The man, who has not been identified by the coroner’s office, was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives responded and began looking for possible witnesses.
Residents told law enforcement officials that they heard several gunshots before 4 a.m. No motive has been determined and no suspect description has been released.
