A man killed in an incident involving an Regional Transit bus last week has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
He was identified as David Edmond Likley, 30, of Sacramento. The incident that killed Likley happened about 10:38 p.m. Friday at 65th and Q streets, near the University/65th Street Light Rail Station.
Likley was riding the eastbound Gold Line train before the impact, a Regional Transit spokeswoman said. An RT police officer noticed he was marking graffiti onto the train as it neared the University/65th Street station, she said.
Likley fled the train once the RT officer approached him. The officer did not give chase, according to RT.

The bus was northbound on 65th Street and the driver was making a right turn onto Q Street when Likley was killed. The crash that killed Likley happened outside the driver's view, just in front of the rear tire, the RT spokeswoman said.
No passengers were on board the bus at the time.
