Sacramento police are asking for help identifying an armed robber who has hit a south Sacramento gas station three times in two weeks, once firing a gunshot into the ceiling.

A man armed with a gun has held up the AM/PM gas station at the corner of Fruitridge Road and South Watt Avenue striking at night between 8:30 and 11:30 p.m., the first time on April 15.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a beard, about 30 years old and 6 feet tall. He is thought to be white, Hispanic or Middle Eastern. In each incident, the suspect has worn a hoodie.

The suspect enters the store and demands money from the clerk at gunpoint before fleeing on foot, police said. No one has been harmed during the robberies.

AM/PM employee Herman Gill said the man “takes everything” in the register. Gill said the station has not had any similar crime problems in the past and thought it “weird” that the suspect would hit three times in a row. Gill said a night employee has quit out of fear the robber will return.

Anyone with information can call the police dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Crime Alert at 916-443-4357. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
