Rocklin police report that a store employee has been arrested for allegedly embezzling from his employer.
Police said that Joseph Jordan, 19, of Rocklin, scanned merchandise chosen by his friends, then voided the transactions. He would then not charge the friends for the items, according to police.
Jordan, according to a police bulletin, admitted to stealing more than $7,500 worth of merchandise and voiding at least 20 transactions. He was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement and conspiracy.
The store was not identified in the online police crime report.
