Man found fatally wounded at Del Paso Heights home identified as Antelope resident

A man who died of apparent gunshot wounds in the Del Paso Heights area Monday has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Bansa Douangpanya, 33, of Antelope.

Sacramento police officers were called about 6:14 p.m. to the 3900 block of Lily Street regarding a shooting. Officers found Douangpanya and another man inside a residence with what appeared to be gunshot wounds, a police news release states.

Officers and fire personnel administered emergency medical aid, but Douangpanya died at the scene. The other man was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said the motive for the shooting has not been determined. Investigators were working Tuesday to identify other people who may have been present when the shooting occurred, the news release said.
