Lodi police took weapons off the streets in separate incidents over the weekend.
Detectives took a short-barreled shotgun from a man on probation shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. They contacted Ronnie Brown, 48, of Tracy outside a business in the 100 block of North Cherokee Lane. They say Brown, who was subject to a probation search, had methamphetamine as well as the weapon in his possession.
Brown was arrested on suspicion of violating drug and weapons laws and booked into the Lodi Police Department jail.
On Sunday, dispatchers received reports of shots being fired near Tienda and Stonebridge drives. About 7:20 p.m. two juveniles were detained when they returned to a field in the area to retrieve a discarded handgun believed to have been used in the earlier gunfire. That weapon also was confiscated.
