A man convicted of robbing a Florin Road Chevron station and a victim at an area shopping center has been sentenced to 25 years in state prison.
Pierre Cleveland, 29, was convicted May 4 of two counts of robbery, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release. He was sentenced Friday in Sacramento Superior Court.
On Sept. 7, 2015, Cleveland, armed with a gun, robbed the sole employee at a Chevron station on Florin Road. He stole money from the register and, when the employee refused to get on the ground, Cleveland fired the gun twice before leaving the station.
The second robbery occurred Sept. 29, 2015, at the Florin Shopping Center. The victim had just withdrawn $5,600 in cash from his bank and was about to get in his car when Cleveland struck him over the head and stole the money, the news release said.
