Randdog, Sacramento

A: No arrests have been reported in the slaying of 19-year-old Michael Burdan, who was shot Nov. 20, 2012, in Del Paso Heights as he was riding his bicycle to deliver strawberries to his brother.

The shooting occurred about 6:45 p.m. at North Avenue and May Street. Sacramento police responded to the area after callers reported hearing gunfire and seeing a person down in the street, according to a story in The Sacramento Bee.

Burdan’s body was found in the road.

Investigators said at the time that they had no suspects or motive for the shooting.

A social worker at the Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center described Burdan, a Foothill High School graduate, as “just a sweet boy” who “wouldn’t do harm to anybody.”
