An Antioch teen has died after being shot Thursday morning with a BB gun in an apparent accident.
Officers responded at 9:55 a.m. to the 4300 block of Palomar Drive and found a teenager with critical injuries after being accidentally shot in the chest by a friend with a BB gun, reports the East Bay Times. Police said the boy had suffered a small wound to his chest, and later died at a local hospital.
KPIX 5 reports that neighbors identified the slain teen as Marcos Garcia, 15, a Deer Valley High School student, and said his parents were not home at the time of the incident. Police are continuing to investigate.
