Find of drugs, firearms leads to Placer arrest
Two men were arrested this week after Placer County sheriff’s detectives found drugs and firearms on a rural property northeast of Auburn.
Detectives arrested Wayne J. Lewis, 54, and Doyle G. Garrison, 55, after serving a search warrant Monday on property where they lived along Clipper Creek Road, according to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook posting.
Deputies said that Lewis, the caretaker of the rented property, had eight weapons, three of which were loaded. He also is suspected of possessing methamphetamine, growing marijuana and having two pounds of processed marijuana.
He was booked into Placer County jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, cultivation of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Garrison was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of ammunition.
