Redding police are accusing a father of spending the day selling heroin with his baby in the car.
Officers saw what they believed was a drug deal going down Thursday at a car parked outside a downtown market. Inside the car were Robert Tyrelle Pride, 20, and Dewayne Sutton-Wilson, 23, along with Sutton-Wilson’s 7-month-old daughter.
Pride had heroin and hypodermic needles, while Sutton-Wilson possessed cash officers believed was collected from drug deals that day, according to a Redding Police Department news release.
Officers allege that the baby girl was with Sutton-Wilson when he and Pride made heroin sales around town. Both men were booked into jail on suspicion of selling heroin and child endangerment.
