Officers are investigating an attempted bank robbery Wednesday in Elk Grove.
The robber entered the Bank of America, 8842 Calvine Road, about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and handed an employee a note. However, no money was handed over to the robber before he fled, according to Officer Christopher Trim, Elk Grove police spokesman.
He was described as a black man in his 20s, about 150 pounds, and 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was wearing a black ski cap, sunglasses and an orange shirt.
