Sacramento police ask the public’s help in identifying a driver who allegedly collided with a vehicle and struck a pedestrian outside a convenience store in June.
Officers were called to the 7700 block of La Riviera Drive about 1:30 a.m. June 30 regarding a hit-and-run collision. A driver backing out of a parking stall in front of the store had collided with another vehicle, causing damage, according to a Police Department news release. A witness walking in the parking lot was subsequently hit by the vehicle as the driver was leaving and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police have released surveillance photos of the driver and a passenger in the vehicle.
The driver is described as a Hispanic or Indian woman, 23 to 25 years old, about 5 feet, 7inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with long brown hair pulled back in a ponytail. She was wearing a white tank top and shorts.

The passenger was described as a Hispanic or Indian man, 26 or 27 years old, approximately 6-foot-2 with an average build. His hair was curly on top and shaved on the sides. He was wearing an orange hat an orange T-shirt.
Police said the man and woman may speak Hindi or Fijian.
Their vehicle was described as a 2012 or newer white, four-door Nissan Maxima with California license plates and may have front-end damage on the driver’s side.
