A 29-year-old man has died of injuries suffered Wednesday afternoon in a collision at a rural Yolo County intersection.
The crash was reported at 5:55 p.m. at County Roads 14 and 87, west of Interstate 505. A 42-year-old Yuba City woman was eastbound on County Road 14 approaching the intersection with County Road 87. At the same time, the 29-year-old man from the Yolo County community of Madison was northbound on County Road 87 in a 2002 Toyota, according to a California Highway Patrol news release.
The two vehicles entered the intersection about the same time, and the front of the Nissan struck the left side of the Toyota, the CHP reported.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center, where the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead, the news release said. His name has not been released.

The driver of the Nissan suffered moderate injuries, according tot he CHP.
Cause of the collision is under investigation. The CHP said alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
