Three young teens were shot late Friday night behind a south Sacramento movie theater, Sacramento Police Department spokeswoman Officer Linda Matthew said.
The teenage boys were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
The shooting happened at around 10:45 p.m. at the United Artists movie theater off Center Parkway, near Bruceville Road. The group was standing behind the theater when they heard shots being fired, Matthew said.
“They heard sounds of gunfire, but they didn’t see specifically where it came from,” she said.

The teens realized they had been hit, and one of them went inside the theater to report the shooting to a Sacramento Police Department officer working supplemental security.
Matthew said the department did not have a description of possible suspects. It was unclear whether the teens were the intended targets of the gunfire, she said.
No arrests were made in the case as of Sunday afternoon.
