A Roseville man died early Saturday morning after crashing his motorcycle in Roseville, police said.
According to the Roseville Police Department, John Patrick Judd lost control of a 2017 Harley Davidson while riding it northeast on Vernon Street at 12:09 a.m. Saturday. Judd crossed at Taylor Street and hit a curb and street light, police said. Authorities have not determined the cause of the accident.
Judd, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
“John loved people,” said Melissa Thompson-Judd, Judd’s ex-wife who began dating him again, in a message to The Bee. “He could make anyone laugh. ... He was a free spirit and worked hard for everything he had.”

Buying a 2017 Harley Davidson was Judd’s dream, she said, because 17 was the date of his birthday and his favorite number.
Thompson-Judd said she expects “a huge crowd” at a celebration of Judd’s life, which will be held Saturday. “He was loved by many,” she said.
