A 10-year-old boy who went missing Thursday afternoon after leaving a local children’s home was found Friday morning, the Sacramento Police Department said.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page early Friday morning, Justice Russell went missing after walking down Perry Avenue with other children toward Stockton Boulevard at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. Russell was thought to have left Lawrence Park with older children to go to an unknown house, police said.
Police said Russell’s age and his medical condition put him “at risk.”
“Justice has left the children’s home in the past but normally returns within a few hours,” the police department’s Facebook post states.

Russell was located at about 8 a.m. Friday after a woman saw a CBS13 report about the boy and called in to say Russell had stayed the night at her house, said Officer Linda Matthew, a Sacramento Police Department spokesperson.
Russell is on his way back to the children’s home, Matthew said.
