An 87-year-old woman in Stockton woke Wednesday morning to an intruder lifting her nightgown and fought the man off with her walker, Stockton police said.
The woman was groped at about 5 a.m. Wednesday at her home in the 700 block of West Weber Avenue, said Officer Joe Silva, a spokesman for the Stockton Police Department.
The man fled after the woman began screaming and fended him off with her walker. Neighbors arrived after hearing the noise, according to Silva. Police are still looking for the suspect, described as a 5-foot-11, 200-pound black man between 20 and 30 years old.
The woman sustained minor injuries, Silva said.
