The 22-year-old killed in a drive-by shooting in Foothill Farms on Tuesday has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Jonathan Altamirano of Antelope.
Altamirano was found shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday, after deputies received reports of the shooting in the 5100 block of Karm Way. The 22-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Tony Turnbull said that the shooter probably fired from a car. A dark-colored compact car was seen fleeing the scene after shots were heard. Turnbull stated that the shooting was most likely not random.
Altamirano was visiting a friend when he was killed, according to Turnbull.
