Sacramento police are investigating a shooting in South Natomas that injured a woman.
The Sacramento Fire Department initially responded to the woman’s injuries about 4 a.m. Friday at the intersection of West El Camino Avenue and Azevedo Drive, said Officer Linda Matthew, police spokeswoman. The woman was accompanied by her husband.
She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman reported the shooting as an attempted robbery but her account varied from what firefighters told police, Matthew said. Police are investigating to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
