Stolen vehicles used to ram doors of Truckee businesses targeted for burglary

Truckee police are looking for a suspected auto thief and burglar who allegedly uses stolen vehicles to ram the front doors of businesses.

Investigators suspect 37-year-old Richard Anthony Lenning, the subject of a felony no-bail arrest warrant, is responsible for stealing more the $100,000 worth of property from Truckee businesses, according to a Police Department Facebook post. He is suspected of stealing numerous vehicles and using them to ram the front doors of businesses so he can burglarize them. Police said evidence collected at the crime scenes links Lenning to the break-ins.

Lenning is described as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

He has ties to the Placerville and Pollock Pines areas of El Dorado County, as well as Sparks and Silver Springs, Nev., according to police.

Anyone who spots Lenning is advised not to try to contact him, but to call the Truckee Police Department at 530-550-2320, or the local law enforcement agency.
