Police investigate bodies found in south Sacramento home

Police were called to house in south Sacramento on Monday to provide medical aid, but they found two people inside the home who were already beyond help.

Just after 7 a.m., officers arrived at the house in the 7800 block of Albion Way, in the city’s Meadowview area, where they discovered two bodies.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators took over the investigation, as officers canvassed the neighborhood for evidence and witnesses.

Sacramento police have not released any identifying information about the deceased individuals, nor have they determined a cause of death. But the department said in a statement that, “This incident appears to be isolated to this residence. Investigators are not currently seeking any additional suspects.”

Such statements are often made in the case of murder-suicides.

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this potential homicide to contact the dispatch center at 916-264-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916-443-HELP (4357) or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
