A youth sports coach arrested a year ago on suspicion of crimes related to child pornography is now accused of child molestation.
Jason David Foreman, 34, was arrested by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department investigators in September 2016 in connection with child pornography and has been in custody since then.
In May, an acquaintance of Foreman reported that her daughter, a juvenile, had disclosed that Foreman had sexually abused her on several occasions, according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. Detectives investigated the allegations and on Tuesday, Foreman was arrested on more than 10 counts of child molestation. He is being held in Sacramento County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Investigators developed information indicating that Foreman was a youth sports coach and may have coached soccer and softball in the Carmichael area. Detectives are concerned that Foreman may have victimized other children, the news release said.
