Authorities are holding an active-shooter drill Wednesday at Folsom Dam that is scheduled to conclude at 10 a.m.
During the drill, Sacramento sheriff’s deputies assigned to Folsom Dam will be moving through the facility, and residents may see officers in tactical gear carrying “unloaded, brightly colored practice weapons. They may also hear simulated radio calls if they monitor law enforcement frequencies,” officials warned in a news release.
“Impacts to the public outside the gated facility are not expected,” it said.
