A 31-year-old Sacramento man was identified as the victim of a fatal shooting early Thursday in the 5100 block of Ehrhardt Avenue.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Brandon Campbell of Sacramento.

Officers responded and found Campbell unresponsive with a gunshot wound. Sacramento fire personnel declared him dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives are canvassing the area, looking for witnesses and surveillance footage, Matthew said.
