A Granite Bay woman who posed as an interior designer has been arrested on suspicion of seven counts of felony grand theft after allegedly accepting payment for services she failed to deliver.
Lisa Anne Briggs-Smith, 46, is accused of defrauding several people who gave her more than $100,000 to provide labor and goods, but nothing was ever provided, according to a Placer County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
Briggs-Smith was booked into Placer County Jail on Wednesday, with bail set at $200,000.
Anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of Briggs-Smith is asked to call Detective Jeff Martin at 530-889-6984.
