Stockton police are investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man in Stockton on Saturday night.
The man was riding in the back seat of a car at 11:30 p.m. Saturday when suspects opened fire on him and two 18-year-olds in the driver’s and passenger’s seats, according to Stockton Police Department Officer Joe Silva.
The driver and front-seat passenger were also shot and transported to a local hospital, where they remain in critical but stable condition. Initial 911 calls indicated the men were shot near the intersection of Wilson Way and Anderson Street.
The Police Department’s preliminary investigation found the killing appears to be gang-related, Silva said.
