Police in Lincoln are searching for two suspects in a shooting Saturday night that left one person dead and another injured.
At 10:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of East Eighth Street, where they found two people shot. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital, according to police.
Descriptions were assembled for the two suspects who fled the scene. Investigators are still determining if the victims knew the suspects. Both are white men: one is stocky and between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall, wearing a tan sweatshirt, a tan mask and blue jeans; the other is 5 feet 10 inches tall, between 180 pounds and 200 pounds, wearing a black sweatshirt and a black and white skull mask at the time of the shooting.
The last shooting in the quiet Placer County suburb occurred in May, when Jerrod Devery Hill shot and killed Renee Sue O’Neal, who had a restraining order against him. O’Neal was the mother of twins. Hill apparently shot himself in his car while attempting to flee from police.
