Man seriously injured during shooting in South Land Park business

A man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries following a shooting inside a South Land Park business Saturday morning, said Officer Linda Matthew, a department spokeswoman.

Police were notified of the shooting just before 11 a.m. after someone called 911, Matthew said. The shooting took place at Upgrade Cuts & Styles at 1195 Florin Road, No. 5, near South Land Park Drive.

“He was shot by another male that had come into the business,” she said. “He was shot and the suspect fled.”

Matthew said police are investigating how many people were involved, with officers initially reporting a minimum of two suspects in the incident.

The victim is described as an adult male in his 20s. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were deemed serious but non-life threatening, Matthew said.
