A homicide investigation is under way after 20-year-old Marysville man was fatally shot Tuesday morning in Linda.
He was identified by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office as Timothy Patrick Galusha.
Galusha was sitting in a car’s front passenger seat about 4:30 a.m. in the 6000 block of Dunning Avenue when a bullet ripped through the vehicle’s exterior and hit him, according to a Yuba County Sheriff’s Department news release.
The car’s driver brought the victim to Rideout Regional Medical Center in Marysville, where he succumbed to his injuries.

There were three homicides in Yuba County in 2017 and two the year before, said Leslie Carbah, Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman. No arrests had been made in connection with Tuesday’s shooting. Investigators had not yet released how many bullets were fired, what kind of gun was used or whether gang involvement was suspected.
