One of two men wounded Wednesday in a North Sacramento shooting died Thursday of his injuries.
Sacramento police said the case has been reclassified as a homicide. The other victim was reported in stable condition.
Officers were called to the area of Eleanor and Altos avenues about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday regarding a shooting and found two men with gunshot wounds. Officer provided life-saving measures until Sacramento Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the victims to an area hospital, according to a Police Department news release.
Officers canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses. Because of the seriousness of the injuries, homicide detectives were called to the scene and took over the investigation.

A motive for the shooting has not been determined, the news release said.
